The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis are a spectacular natural phenomenon, often seen dancing around in fantastic colours across the Icelandic Arctic sky.
The Northern Lights tour takes you to experience the spectacular natural phenomenon (Aurora Borealis) which are seenable from late August until early May. Its caused by the interaction of particles from the sun with the upper atmosphere near the North Pole.
The locations visited during the tour vary from day to day depending on weather conditions in the surrounding of Reykjavik and among many other mountain areas Mosfellsheiði and Hellisheiði. The tour is weather permitting and to see the Northern lights can never be guarrantied. In case of non appearing Northern lights enroute during the tour, you are welcome to join the tour again at another time free of charge.
